National poetry book prizes have been awarded to six titles:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Jan Owen<\/a> was awarded the\u00a02016 Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal for Literature as\u00a0<\/span>a consistently outstanding Australian writer. A large body of her work was published by the press in her book,\u00a0Poems, 1980\u20142008<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022 Robert Gray\u2019s\u00a0Cumulus \u2013 Collected Poems<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>recently received the 2013 Western Australian Premier\u2019s Poetry Book Award.<\/p>\n \u2022 Coinciding with the publication of\u00a0Cumulus \u2013 Collected Poems<\/i><\/a>, Robert Gray won the Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal for Literature, in 2012.<\/p>\n \u2022 The 2010 Grace Leven Prize was awarded equally to each of LK Holt\u2019s\u00a0Patience, Mutiny<\/i><\/a>, Petra White\u2019s\u00a0The Simplified World<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>and David Musgrave\u2019s\u00a0Phantom Limb<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2022 Jordie Albiston\u2019s\u00a0the sonnet according to \u2018m\u2019<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>\u2014<\/i>2010 Kenneth Slessor Prize in the NSW Premier\u2019s Literary Awards.<\/p>\n \u2022 LK Holt\u2019s\u00a0Man Wolf Man\u2014<\/i><\/a>2009 Kenneth Slessor Prize in the NSW Premier\u2019s Literary Awards.<\/p>\n \u2022 Coinciding with the publication of\u00a0White Knight with Beebox: New and Selected Poems<\/i><\/a>, Peter Steele won the Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal for Poetry, in 2009. Peter was also awarded the Christopher Brennan award for Lifetime Achievement in Poetry in the same year.
